Prithvi Shaw, one of the fine talents the country ever produced in the game of cricket, got attacked in Mumbai after denying a selfie at a five-star hotel, says reports. Police officials booked eight people for attacking the car of Shaw’s friend. A viral video that shows Shaw involving in a physical altercation with the accuses is going viral in social media platforms. One of the accused has been identified as Instagram model Sapna Gill.

Going by the complaint filed by Prithvi Shaw’s friend Ashish Surendra Yadav, the accused followed the car and blackmailed them of false cases to get money. It has been reported that Prithvi Shaw went to a five-star hotel which is located in Santa Cruz, Mumbai for dinner.

The unidentified accused approached Prithvi Shaw’s table and insisted him to give a selfie. Reports suggests that Prithvi Shaw accepted to pose for a selfie with two other people and the accused joined to group to get a selfie with Shaw. However, the cricketer denied selfies this time too.

Prithvi Shaw’s friend called the manager and complained about them when they kept insisting Shaw for a selfie. The accused were asked the leave the hotel by the manager. Angered by this treatment of Prithvi Shaw and hotel management, they decided to damage the property which belongs to Shaw.

They were waiting outside the hotel with baseball bats and smashed the rear and front windows of the car which belongs to Prithvi Shaw’s friend. The Police officials said that they are investigating the case. A case has been registered against the accused under sections 384, 143, 148, 149, 427, 504 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code..

A video of one part of the brawl is out in social media platforms. The video was shot by one of eight accused who are charged for assaulting Prithvi, his friend and the car or Prithvi’a friend. Ashish Yadav and Prithvi Shaw are staying together for the past three years at Bandra and former is reportedly running a cafe.

Yadav saw three motorcycles and a white-coloured car chasing their vehicle. Around 4 AM, those following him attacked his car when it was taking U-turn near a petrol pump on Link Road. One of them slammed the baseball bat on the rear windshield which immediately got broken.

The six persons who were coming through Motorcycles and two others which includes a woman, abused Yadav and those accompanying him. After that, Yadav took the car to Oshiwara Police Station. The eight accused also followed them there. The woman accused started arguing and threatened Yadav to pay Rs. 50,000 to settle the matter or else she would lodge a false police complaint against them, the Police official said. Further investigation regarding the case is currently underway.
