Pradeep Ranganathan of “Love Today” fame is in the receiving end after posting a tweet about director Vetri Maaran’s upcoming film “Viduthalai”. For not mentioning “Sir” while appreciating his recently released film, many fans of the national award winning filmmaker started slamming the young and emerging director cum actor. Many of the comments that surfaced shows the users of the micro blogging social media site condemning Pradeep for not respecting his senior due to the success he tasted lately.

Pradeep Ranganathan, after making a number of short films, debuted as filmmaker through “Comali” and gained widespread fame after making his debut as an actor in “Love Today” which is running successfully in theatres. While the filmmaker was basking In success, users of internet started digging the filmmaker’s old posts and tweets in order to know about him more.

“Love Today” starring Pradeep Ranganathan and Ivana got released in theatres recently and is running successfully among the audience of Tamil nadu. Along with the lead stars, Yogi Babu, Sathyaraj, Radhika Sarathkumar, Raveena and many youtube stars were included in the cast list. Produced by AGS, the film impressed it’s target audience and is receiving positive reception from fans and from the critics.

“Love Today”, reportedly collected more than Rs. 70 crore against the budget of just Rs. 5 crore and became one of the most profitable films of the year 2022. Makers of the film decided to dub and release it in Telugu language. In the Telugu region, the film was expected to end it’s theatrical run with Rs. 18-20 crore gross.

On the work front, Pradeep Ranganathan has been approached to act in LIC of Vignesh Shivan, and he has expressed his keen interest in working with the filmmaker, according to reports. This collaboration has generated a lot of buzz among Tamil film fans as “Love Insurance Company” was supposed to be Sivakarthikeyan’ s17th film and Anirudh was boarded to be the music director for this movie. The film is expected to be produced by RKFI, a well-known production house in Tamil cinema. RKFI’s association with this project is expected to bring a new level of sophistication and polish to LIC.

Director Vettri Maaran who is considered as one of the most progressive filmmakers of our era, is known for his sensible public statements and for the stand he takes in public issues. The 44 year old filmmaker who is currently busy basking in the success of his recently released film “Viduthalai”, is expected to complete the post production of the film’s sequel. He is also planning to direct actor Suriya in his next project which is titled as “Vaadi Vasal”.
