Ponnambalam Opened About How This Hero Gave Him Rs. 45 Lakh For His Treatment!!

Ponnambalam, a famous actor from South Indian film industry opened about how Telugu Superstar helped him with Rs. 45 lakh for his kidney treatment. The actor, in an interview with a famous YouTube channel, had said that he was expecting only a small amount but the help provided by the actor through his daughter-in-law was huge.

Ponnambalam has been suffering from kidney disease for over a year, and he appealed to his friends and colleagues in the industry to help him with the financial expenses of his medical treatment. In a touching gesture, his niece and short film director, Jaganathan, volunteered to donate his kidney to his uncle. The surgery was performed successfully on February 10, at a private hospital in Chennai.

It’s an inspiring story of how the film industry came together to support one of its own in a time of need.

However, before the surgery, Ponnambalam had issued a shocking statement that he had attempted suicide more than 20 times due to his illness and financial struggles. This revelation was a stark reminder of how difficult life can be for those who don’t have access to adequate medical care and resources.

Fortunately, several actors, including Chiranjeevi, Sarathkumar, Dhanush, Kamal Haasan, Arjun, Vijay Sethupathi, and Prakash Raj, among others, came forward to donate money for Ponnambalam’s medical treatment. Director KS Ravikumar also contributed to the cause. Ponnambalam expressed his heartfelt thanks to all of them, stating that their support and love gave him hope and the will to fight on.

According to a recent report, Ponnambalam revealed that Telugu Superstar Chiranjeevi sent him Rs. 45 lakh as soon as he sent a message to him. The actor also said that Dhanush helped him financially while speaking on the phone.

When he asked what problem I’m suffering from, I replied to him saying that I’m suffering from kidney failure and didn’t want to live anymore” Ponnambalam said in the interview.

“Don’t talk that way. In Chennai, there is Appollo hospital, right?? Do you want to get treatment there or do you want to get treatment in Hyderabad??” Chiranjeevi asked Ponnambalam, according to the actor’s statement.

Initially, I thought he would help me doing a dialysis. But he wouldn’t even let me pay for the application form of the hospital” Ponnambalam said in the interview.

“”He spent nearly Rs. 40-45 lakh. Ram Charan Sir’s wife is the Managing Director there. She came for my treatment directly to pay the fees. My head was spinning. During the first day, they made a test for Rs. 80,000 and I got shocked” he further said.
