Pondevi a women from Karur landed in trouble after cheating Multiple Men. In a shocking turn of events, the Karur police have arrested three individuals, including a woman who has been accused of cheating many people by marrying them. The woman in question, Pondevi, hails from Kampam, Theni district and has been accused of duping several men into marrying her.

The investigation into this matter began when Vigneswaran, a resident of South Street, Pashupathipalayam under the Karur Corporation, lodged a complaint at the Sivakasi Nagar police station, stating that his wife, Pondevi, had been missing for a long time. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that Pondevi had married many men and cheated them out of their money.

The modus operandi of this scam was relatively straightforward. Pondevi would lure unsuspecting men into marrying her and then disappear with their money and jewelry shortly after the wedding. The brokers who facilitated these marriages, Balamurugan and Amirthavalli from Kovilpatti, would receive a cut of the money that Pondevi had duped from her victims.

In Vigneswaran’s case, the brokers had arranged the marriage with Pondevi, and the couple had gotten married at Vigneswaran’s relatives’ house in the Rayanoor area. However, just three days after the wedding, Pondevi disappeared with 8,500 rupees that Vigneswaran had given her to buy clothes for her sister’s daughter.

As the investigation into Pondevi’s activities progressed, it became evident that she had duped several other men in a similar manner. In one instance, she had married a financier who was looking for a bridegroom and had run away with his money and jewelry. Her first husband was identified as Karthik, and it was revealed that she had two daughters from that marriage.

The arrest of Pondevi, Balamurugan, and Amirthavalli has sent shockwaves throughout the surrounding areas of Karur. The police have conducted a thorough investigation into the matter, and all three individuals have been produced in court and imprisoned.
