Actress Vedhika who is known among Tamil audience for acting in films such as “Muni”, “Kaalai”, “Paradesi”, on Monday, came up with a post in her official Instagram handle, announcing about herself getting infected with the COVID 19 virus. Spreading awareness among her followers, Vedhika asked them not to underestimate the virus and requested them to mask up irrespective of how many people they are going to meet.

COVID 19 tally of India increased to 4,32,83,793 on Saturday as 12, 899 more people tested positive for the viral disease and the active caseload climbed to 72, 427 according to the data of Union health ministry. The total death count increased to 5,24,855 with 15 fresh fatalities. The active cases comprise 0.17 percent of the total infections. The national COVID 19 recovery rate was recorded at 98.62 percent, the ministry said.

An increase of 4,366 cases has been recorded in the active COVID 19 caseload in a span of 24 hours. People are advised to wear safety mask again in order to avoid getting infected with the virus. In the meantime, actress Vedhika who acted in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi movies, came up with a post in her Instagram handle, updating about her health.

The actress said that she got infected with the virus and is currently recovering. “Hi everyone! Unfortunately I’m down with COVID for the first time. Not all people face mild
symptoms. I have had high fever which has been coming n going for a couple days now. Please don’t underestimate the symptoms, not worth being sick with terrible body aches and high fever” Vedhika said through her post.

“Also pls don’t believe that if you have contracted it once then you will not get re-infected
again. I know ppl who have got reinfected within a month to couple months . So pls don’t delude yourself. It’s better to be safe than sorry. MASK UP even if you are meeting one person or people for you and your loved ones’ sake. I’m better today, I’ll be fine soon Much Love stay safe” she added.

On the work front, Vedhka who was last seen in Kanchana series in Tamil, is expected to appear in a film named “Vinodhan”. “Jungle “Gaana”, “Naalaa Thoonu”, “Chethi Mandharam Thulasi” are some of the other upcoming projects of the actress.
