Indian team on Sunday produced an all-round performance to thrash Pakistan by 89 runs at Old Trafford, Manchester in a much-hyped clash and extended their head to head record against the Asian rivals to a dominant 7-0 in the World Cups.

In the marquee clash, India outperformed Pakistan in all the three departments to make the contest a one-sided affair.

Put in to bat first, India opener Rohit Sharma scored his second hundred at the tournament, followed by captain Virat Kohli and KL Rahul smashed half-centuries each to help India post a mammoth 336 runs total as Pakistan never threatened to make a chase of it in the rain-interrupted game.

As soon as Pakistan crumbled to one of their worst defeats vs India in the tournament, the team’s fans wasted no time in pointing out the player’s outing as the chief reason for the loss.
