Later, it was revealed that the film will be the official remake of the Tamil film ‘Pariyerum Perumal’, which was released in 2018. The film was a romantic drama, set against the backdrop of the caste system.

Siddhant Chaturvedi and Tripti Dimri are both rising stars in Bollywood. Siddhant made his debut with the critically acclaimed film ‘Gully Boy‘, in which he played the role of MC Sher. Tripti, on the other hand, made her debut with the film ‘Laila Majnu‘, which was produced by Imtiaz Ali.
