Former Makkal Needhi Maiam party member Padma Priya announced about her joining in the DMK party with a couple of tweets on Friday and got trolled by the users of twitter who brought her old tweets against the Stalin led party. After quitting Kamal Haasan led Makkal Needhi Maiam party, Doctor Mahendran and environmental activist Padma priya joined DMK party in front of its chief M K Stalin. Along with the duo, 78 other people also joined the ruling party at the Anna Arivalayam, party’s headquarters that is located in Chennai.

While leaving Kamal Haasan’s Makkal needhi Maiam party, Padma Priya cited personal reasons and now, after joining the ruling party, she said “Politics is big sea. I have been learning through books all these days and have started learning from my experience now. As per Periyar’s rational ideology, I realzied the importance and honor of Dravidian party only now. In that way, to serve people, I have joined myself in the DMK party in front of MK Stalin, with the guidance of Doctor Mahendran” Padma Priya said in her tweet.

Reacting to these tweets of her, enormous number of the Tamil nadu politics followers started trolling her by bringing the old tweets of her against the Stalin led party. In November 2020, Padma priya firmly replied to a follower that she is not going to support ADMK or DMK and netizens flooded the comment section of Padma Priya’s tweet with the screen shot of the tweet. Few even compared her with actress Kushbu who recently joined BJP after working for Congress and DMK.

“I owe you people who encouraged me by voting for me who came from a middle class family and without a political background. I have decided to remove myself from the MNM party for few reasons. I am sharing it to the people of our constituency as it is my duty. I will continue to do my field work” said Padma Priya while leaving the party led by actor cum politician Kamal haasan.
