“Only Brahmins Are Perfect??” – Director Pradeep Responded To The Controversy!!

Director Pradeep Ranganathan who is currently busy promoting his recently released film “Love Today”, responded to the controversy that erupted in social media regarding a recent statement he made about a perfect, orthodox gentleman. The filmmaker said that he just used the reference of ” Naamam” just like how he would use objects such as shirt and how a man folds it etc.

Earlier, his statement about a person donning a straight “Namam” indicates that he is perfect, orthodox, genuine became a subject to controversy as many questioned the filmmaker why individuals from Brahmin community should be shown as “pure” just because of their “Namam” in forehead.

Now, clarifying to the controversy, in a new interview, came up with a statement saying that he only meant the attributes of the character and it doesn’t mean anything beyond.
“I didn’t mean he is perfect just because he belongs to Brahmin community” said Pradeep and went on to ask the host what would she think of a person if he buttons his shirt’s sleeves and what would she think if he rolls up his sleeves, in a way of denoting that he never kept the scene to cause discrimination among communities.
