The most used two words among Tamil twitterati since the elimination of Royal Challengers Bangalore from the ongoing IPL tournament is nothing but “Pudi Pudi”. It is a reference taken from a troll video of a bunch of fan girls of team Royal Challengers Bangalore. The girls, while celebrating the victory of RCB against CSK in the first league they played, uploaded a video trolling the yellow team whom they consider as their rivals. “Pudi Pudi” was used by them in their video song which received 1 million plus views so far in youtube.

On 10th of October, Chennai Super kings lost to Royal challengers Bangalore by 37 runs in the 25th league match of IPL 2020 and Troll video was uploaded by the fan girls on the very next day. The song phrase “Kannan Devan Tea Podi, CSK Pudi Pudi” went insanely viral among the netizens as soon as the video released. In the second league Chennai defeated Bangalore and spoiled their party of topping the table to play in the decider. On the same day, CSK officially got eliminated from the tournament after Rajasthan Royals won a match against Mumbai Indians.

Now, after RCB lost the eliminator against Sunrisers Hyderabad and got out of the tournament after 5 consecutive losses, the troll video uploaded by the fan girls of RCB garnered huge reception, not from the RCB fans but from the fans of team CSK. Enormous number of trolls and posts kept surfacing since the eliminator saw its result. It is widely believed that RCB never won a match after the release of “Pudi Pudi” song.

Now, to our surprise, the official social media handle of team Chennai Super Kings joined the party by uploading a post with the caption “Pudi Pudi”, indirectly trolling back the girls. The post contained the picture of CSK opener Ruturaj Gaikwad catching the ball with Jadhav in the background.
