Andhathun won National awards for several categories in the 2019 National awards. Andhadhun is a 2018 Indian black comedy crime thriller film that was co-written and directed by Sriram Raghavan. The film starred Tabu, Ayushmann Khurrana and Radhika Apte, and tells the story of a blind piano player who unwittingly becomes embroiled in the murder of a former film actor.

Now, the movie is going to be remade in Tamil with Top Star Prashanth. Father of the actor Thiagarajan has bagged the Tamil remake rights of Andhadhun, and he is all set to cast his son Prashanth in the lead role of the film. They have remade Sriram Raghavan’s Johnny Gaddar as Johnny in tamil which turned out as a huge flop at box office.

Prashanth, who was once the leading actor in Tamil cinema, lost his market because of a series of continuous flops. According to reports, Prashanth is a trained piano player and his skills should come in hand to play the role of the protagonist in Andhadhun, who is a blind piano player.

Tamil remake of 2018 Bollywood superhit #Andhadhun dir by Sriram Raghavan will feature Top Star Prashanth reprising the role played by Ayushmann Khurrana in the original.

The remake rights has been acquired by Prashanth’s dad Thiagarajan.

The actor was last seen in a supporting role in Ram Charan’s Telugu film Vinaya Vidheya Rama. Other than Andhadhun, Prashanth has also signed up for a movie with A Venkatesh, which is yet to go on floors.

Actor Siddharth who is known for appearing in movies almost in every prominent languages in India, expressed his wish to remake the movie in Tamil earlier.
