Netizens started  to troll the incident on Social media. In a heartwarming display of dedication and determination, a college student from Kumbakonam, Tamil Nadu, appeared for a practical exam in Manakolam, just hours after getting married. The student, Indumati, hails from Meikaval Puttur, a small village near Wodeyarpalayam in Ariyalur district. She is pursuing her Masters in Physics in a private college in Kumbakonam, Thanjavur district.

Indumati’s husband, Sudarsan, is from Kattumannarkovil in the Cuddalore district. The couple got married on a morning in a small ceremony in Sudarsan’s hometown. Despite the wedding, Indumati was determined to take her practical exam that same day, which was scheduled for the afternoon in her college in Kumbakonam.

Following her husband’s advice to focus on her studies, Indumati had prepared for the exam despite her wedding preparations. After the wedding ceremony, her parents and husband accompanied her to Kumbakonam so that she could appear for the practical exam in Manakolam. The college authorities and her fellow students were amazed at her dedication and praised her for her commitment to her studies.

Indumati herself expressed that she had informed her parents about the exam date as soon as it was announced, and they had been supportive of her decision to appear for the exam despite the wedding. She also acknowledged the encouragement and support from her husband, Sudarsan, who had urged her to prioritize her studies.

Indumati confidently stated that she had written the exam well and was hopeful of passing it. She also expressed her desire to crack other exams with similar success in the future.

Earlier, A Girl Student who is studying physiotherapy entered exam hall by wearing bride attire, reportedly due to her marriage event, grabbed the headlines as her video went viral across the social media platforms. However, she became a subject to severe online troll as many users of online platforms started questioning the necessity of her gesture. On seeing an individual carrying a DSLR camera inside the exam hall and herself being greeted by her fellow students, netizens started calling her activity as “publicity stunt”.

Identified as Shree Lakhsmi Anil, the student was attending her practical exam at the Bethany Navajeevan college of Physiotherapy, according to reports. The incident took place at state Kerala. In the viral video, Shree Lakshmi is seen wearing a yellow saree with heavy jewel and face full of make-up. She is seen meeting with laughter and cheers from her fellow college students while she was entering the examination hall.

In another video, Shree Lakhmi is seen preparing for her exam, on her way to the exam hall in her car. As soon as reaching the examination centre, one of the groom’s friend could be seen adjusting the pleats of her saree. Another friend of her puts stethoscope around her neck. After completing the examination, the bride is also seen coming out of the examination hall and hugging her mother.

The video went viral and many leading media portals started making reports out of it. So far, the first video garnered more than 2 lakh views whereas the other one reached beyond 1 lakh views and thousands of likes. While many wondered the reason behind her gesture, a number of online users started making fun of her.

“This is just for useless publicity, while fixing date,  anaiku exam nu theriyadha ?” a follower questioned and another user asked “How could someone allow this?? Exam hall is not a place to get publicity!!!”
