“He had one Masala Dosa and a spoon each of Uppittu and Kesari bath and a bite of rava vada. He also asked for a sugar coffee and referred it as a candy coffee. He liked the spicy chutney very much. He spent 30 minutes along with the Indian team members of star bucks. It feels really proud such a big personality visited our hotel and like our dishes” Arun Adiga, Managing partner of Vidyarthi Bhavan said.

Starbucks is prolly planning to introduce Filter Coffee as a special gourmet drink worldwide & price it at $8 for venti. Is filter coffee GI tagged? Else they’ll claim it as their own.

Filter coffee is a “process” and it cannot be GI’d. Coffee is a plant and it is same everywhere botanically. It is the blend that is patentable but for filter coffee the blends are from suppliers and proprietary.

Possibility of authentic filter coffee getting rebranded into a 350rs coffee?😛

Cos he wanted to have real coffee and not the overpriced abomination they sell at his (strangely) hugely successful franchises?
