On Sunday evening, Karade, a Hindi lecturer with 12 years of teaching experience, hanged himself using a saree tied to a ceiling fan in his home while his wife was away in Amravati. According to his relatives, Karade had been facing immense stress in recent days and had frequently mentioned enduring harassment from certain members of the college management and a few professors.

Before taking his life, Karade contacted his brother-in-law and expressed his fear of being attacked by unidentified individuals. He informed his brother-in-law about a diary stored in the refrigerator where he had meticulously documented the alleged harassment. He urged his brother-in-law to take necessary action if anything were to happen to him.

Upon receiving the distressing call, both Karade’s wife and his brother-in-law’s wife, who were attending a relative’s wedding in Amravati, rushed to Nagpur.
