During a promotional interview for his upcoming Tamil-Telugu bilingual film Custody, Chaitanya played a game of truth and dare with YouTuber Irfan, where he answered some interesting questions.

Although he did not take any specific name, Chaitanya is known to have been previously married to Samantha Ruth Prabhu, and there are rumors about him dating actor Shobhita Dhulipala. Irfan spoke about his own experience with rejection in a relationship, where his ex-partner suggested remaining friends despite the breakup. In response, Chaitanya quickly expressed his annoyance with the idea of being friends with an ex, stating that he did not ask for friendship.
