Mrunal Thakur who rose to fame among the mainstream audience through “Seetha Ramam”, a love drama, is currently grabbing the headlines as reports surfaced saying she gets more salary than South Indian stalwarts Nayanthara and Samantha. It has been reported that the actress is going to get the highest payment in the upcoming film of Telugu Superstar Nani.

In fact, she has been cast in Nani’s 30th film, for which she is reportedly being paid the maximum salary of Rs. 6 crores. This is a significant increase from the Rs. 1 crore that she was paid for dancing in an item song in Akshay Kumar’s Selfie.

In 2012, while still in college, she landed the lead role in the Star Plus series Mujhse Kuchh Kehti…Yeh Khamoshiyaan, followed by an episodic appearance on Har Yug Mein Aayega Ek – Arjun in 2013. In 2014, Thakur joined the cast of Kumkum Bhagya on Zee TV, playing the role of Bulbul Arora Khanna until 2016.

In addition to her television work, Thakur participated in Box Cricket League 1 in 2014 and Nach Baliye 7 in 2015. She also made her film debut in 2014 with the Marathi movie Vitti Dandu and appeared in Surajya as Dr. Swapna. She had a guest appearance in Tuyul & Mbak Yul Reborn and a role in the Indonesian serial Nadin. Thakur retired from television after her appearance on Nadin.
