Since the Coronavirus outbreak, Health Minister Vijayakumar has been very much active in field as well as in Twitter. He who was busy visiting hospitals personally and checking the facilities it contains to make appropriate decisions regarding the prevention of Coronavirus, also attended a number of press meets to tell media the exact situation of state Tamilnadu. His MBBS and MD degree became handy as he could have a better understanding about the situation.

People were praising him beyond party limitations for the way he worked to prevent Corona Virus to spread across the state. Now, all of a sudden, the minister is not appearing in front of media and his twitter timeline is not active as before. His absence raised many eyebrows as many people started speculating that the Minister was sidelined by the senior leaders of his party. Since Monday, the minister did not brief the media after two major events.

He even missed a meeting with the Governor on Tuesday. Suddenly chief minister Edappadi Pazhaniswamy took over the responsibility of speaking to the media on the coronavirus developments and the health secretary has been doing the regular briefings. This instigated people to speculate that the minister is being sidelined by the senior leaders of his own party. They found Vijaya Bhaskar getting too big for his shoes and wanted him to be stopped from stealing the limelight when the entire state is tuned to the media outlets for news relating to the coronavirus pandemic, according to reports. Yesterday, about the largest single day spike, the one who reported to media is health secretary Bheela Rajesh.

Whatever happened to Vijayabhaskar behind the doors, It is evident that he is maintaining a low key even his ministry is putting all efforts to prevent coronavirus from spreading. Now, today, the minister came up with a tweet saying that he is “set off” with the work. “GM. As I set off for work, I thought I will leave a quick reminder to you. Feel blessed, if you have shelter, food & time to spend with family while many are battling the #coronavirus across the globe. If you are anxious & stressed in fear, talk to your friends. Take care. #CVB” he said in his tweet by uploading a picture which carries a similar message.
