Minister Jayakumar Mocked Actor Siddharth !! Check His Reply !!

The Citizenship (Amendment) Bill 2019, that seeks to give Indian nationality to non-Muslim refugees from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan passed the lower House test yesterday. The Bill seeks to amend the definition of illegal immigrant for Hindu, Sikh, Parsi, Buddhist and Christian immigrants from Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh, who have lived in India without documentation. They will be granted fast-track Indian citizenship in six years. So far, 12 years of residence has been the standard.

Many celebrities and politicians are expressing their disappointment towards the Citizenship Amendment bill where as chief minister of Tamilnadu Mr. Edappadi Pazhaniswamy has supported it. This stand of the CM receiving severe criticism.

Actor Siddharth who has been voicing his opinion on political issues lately, took his official twitter account to slam the chief minister. In his tweet Siddharth wrote “Deeply ashamed that Edapadi Palanisamy represents my state and our people. Supporting the #CAB shows his true colours, his lack of integrity and his desperate need to remain powerful at any cost. You will all be held accountable. Enjoy your temp power till then. #IndiaRejectsCAB”

When press reporters asked ADMK minister Jayakumar about it, he questioned back the reporters who actor Siddharth. When they answered that he has acted in “Boys” film, Jayakumar said that actors like Siddharth are seeking publicity by expressing their political opinions. He further added that he don’t want to make him famous by answering his criticisms.

On seeing these answers from minister Jayakumar, actor Siddharth reacted to it by saying that he has no problem in the politician answering that way. He implied that he got recognised by his government as best actor in the year 2014 and said that he still didn’t get the award. Further he added that he doesn’t want Jayakumar to make him famous and asked him to do his job properly.

The tweet of Siddharth read “He asks who I am. No problem. His government awarded me the Tamil Nadu State Government Best Actor Award for 2014. They announced it in 2017 and still haven’t given me the award. I don’t need to speak for publicity. I have earned my place and came up on my own. Honestly. Insulting tax paying citizens who speak out of concern will only take you so far boxer uncle. Neenga onnum enna periya aalu aakka thevaiyillai. Do your job. That’s enough. Get well soon.”
