VIRAL VIDEO : Man Arrested For Using National Flag To Clean His Scooter !!

A 52 year old man who belong to Delhi got arrested for using national flag to clean his scooter. The legal action took place after the locals shot the video and uploaded he video on social media platforms. The incident took place in northeast Delhi’s Bhajanpura area and the individual resides in North Ghonda Area.
In the video which is going viral in social media platforms, the man could be seen cleaning and dusting his white scooter with a cloth which is a national flag. The matter came to light after a purported video of the incident, shot by the locals, got uploaded in social media platforms.

A senior police officer, while speaking to the media, said “In this matter, legal action has been initiated and a case has been registered under section 2 of Prevention of Insult of National Honour Act, 1971 at Bhajanpura police station. The flag used by the individual and his scooter got recovered” the Police officer said.
Earlier, during April month, a 42 year old man got arrested for using the tricolour to clean his bicycle. Here’s how internet reacted to the recent incident :

Country India has a rule for hoisting and displaying national flag- The Flag code of India 2002. According to Section 2 of the Prevention of insults to National Honour Act 1971, “whoever in any public place or in any place within public view burns, mutilates, defaces, defiles, disfigures, destroys, tramples upon or otherwise brings into contempt the Indian national flag shall be punished with a jail imprisonment of three years or fine or both.
