Madurai Students Arrested For Cheating & Ra*ping A Gujarat Based Girl Student !!

Madurai is a city located in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu. In a disturbing incident, a woman from Ahmedabad, who was in Madurai to attend a conference, was allegedly raped by two men in a lodge last December. The incident came to light on April 11, 2023, when the Madurai police in Tamil Nadu arrested the accused, identified as Ashish Jain and Jerome Kathiravan, both aged in their early twenties and hailing from Chennai.

The victim, who was pursuing a chartered accountancy course, had gone to Madurai to participate in a conference that was scheduled on December 17 and 18, 2022. She was allegedly raped by Jain and Kathiravan at a lodge in Teppakulam. The accused were staying in the same lodge and had offered to help the victim, who had fallen ill.

According to the police, Jain, who knew the victim beforehand, had offered to help her when she fell ill. He had sought the help of his friend, Kathiravan, to bring medicine and food. However, the duo allegedly raped the woman and left the lodge.

After returning home, the victim informed her family about the incident and lodged a complaint at a police station in Gujarat. The complaint was forwarded to the Madurai police, who registered a case under Section 376 of the Indian Penal Code (rape).

The Madurai police acted swiftly and arrested the accused on April 11, 2023. The all-women police station, which was investigating the case, remanded the accused in custody at the Madurai central prison.

The incident has once again highlighted the issue of sexual violence against women in India. Despite the government’s efforts to curb such crimes, incidents of rape and sexual assault continue to be reported from various parts of the country.

Several cases of sexual assault against women have been reported in Tamil Nadu in the recent past, including the rape and murder of a nine-year-old girl in Chennai in 2022. The incident had sparked widespread outrage and led to calls for stricter laws and better implementation of existing ones.

A shocking incident of human trafficking has come to light in Chennai as a 19-year-old engineering student, J Jayapradha was arrested by the Anti-vice squad of the Central Crime Branch (CCB) along with her 30-year-old accomplice, I Premdas. The duo is accused of running a prostitution racket in the city and has been taken into custody. Reports suggests that the girl fell in love with an individual named Prakash while she was studying 12th standard and started doing the prostitution business with his guidance. After joining college, she started luring her co-students, says the reports.

Investigations revealed that Jayapradha got entangled in the prostitution ring along with her absconding boyfriend, Prakash. The gang had been operating for more than a month, and none of the rescued women were college students, according to a police officer.

The public also has a crucial role to play in combating human trafficking and Sexual Harassment . People need to be more aware of the signs of trafficking and report any suspicious activities to the authorities immediately. We must work together to create a society where human trafficking and other forms of exploitation are not tolerated.
