The actor took the reference due to the reports that emerged about Aamir Khan testing positive for COVID 19 virus earlier. He mentioned the character names of himself, Aamir Khan and Sharman Joshi in “3 idiots” in his tweet.

On Wednesday, it was reported that Bollywood Superstar Aamir Khan has tested positive for the COVID 19 virus. “Mr Aamir Khan has tested positive for Covid 19. He is at home in self-quarantine, following all the protocols and he’s doing fine. All those who came in contact with him in the recent past should get themselves tested as a precautionary measure. Thank you for all your wishes and concern,” said the PK actor’s spokesperson.

Now, followed by him, his co-star R. Madhavan with whom he shared screen space in “3 idiots” has tested positive for COVID 19. Sharing the news in a most creative way, Maddy wrote “Farhan HAS to follow Rancho and Virus has always been after us BUT this time he bloody caught up. BUT-ALL IS WELL and the Covid will be in the Well soon. Though this is one place we don’t want Raju in. Thank you for all the love. I am recuperating well.” in his tweet by adding a picture of himself and Amir khan.

Maddy played Farhan in the movie in which Amir played the role of Rancho. Sharman Joshi played Raju and Boman Irani played the villainous Viru Sahastrabuddhi (Virus) in the film which was directed by Rajkumar Hirani. The film is one of the most successful and widely watched film in India which also found a place in top 250 films in IMDB list.
