With India fighting a third wave of COVID 19 ahead of assembly polls in five states, state Tamil nadu imposed night curfew and announced full lockdown during Sundays. On Friday, India reported 1,41,986 fresh COVID 19 cases, over 21 per cent higher than the previous day’s cases.

Several COVID restrictions have been imposed across the country as the surge continues. Omicron is causing record numbers of cases around the world, and though it causes less severe COVID 19, expert warn this wave still threatens to overwhelm health systems.

The World Health Organization has said that the spread of Omicron was down to a combination of factors including the make-up of the Covid-19 variant and increased social mixing. Meanwhile, a number of celebrities who belong to cinema industry, has updated that they got infected with the virus.

Meanwhile, since past week, starting with Telugu Super star Mahesh Babu to Tamil actress Trisha, many top celebrities said that they tested positive with the COVID 19 virus and conveyed about the same to their followers through their respective social media handles.

When actress Meena who tested positive along with her entire family said that “Mr. Corona” was the first visitor of her house in the year 2022, Trisha said that she who had all the symptoms during New year festival, is recovering well now.
