Legendary Filmmaker Satish Kaushik passed away at the age of 66. Bollywood has lost a versatile actor, director, producer, comedian, and screenwriter. He won two Filmfare Awards for Best Comedian in his illustrious career. Satish Kaushik was born in 1956 and made his directorial debut with the Bollywood film Roop Ki Rani Soran Ka Raja, starring the legendary actress Sridevi in the lead role. However, he gained more popularity after remaking the Tamil film Sethu in Hindi under the name Tere Naam. The film, starring Salman Khan and Bhumika Chawla, was a hit and showcased his prowess as a director. In total, he directed 13 films in Hindi and acted in more than 90 films.
His sudden demise has come as a shock to his close friend, Bollywood actor Anupam Kher, who posted on social media, “I know that death is the ultimate reality of this world. But I never dreamed that I would write this about my best friend Satish Kaushik. Such a sudden end to a 45-year friendship.

Actress Kangana Ranaut, who was currently working with Satish Kaushik in the upcoming film Emergency, also expressed her condolences. In her post, she mentioned that she loved directing him in the movie and described him as a “fabulous actor and a great soul.”
