Named after the mythical island Antillia, Antilia is a private residence in the billionaire row of Mumbai, India that belongs to Mukesh Ambani and his family. They moved into the house in the year 2012 and it is considered as one of the world’s largest and most elaborate private homes, at 27 stories, 173 metres tall, over 37,000 square metres and with amenities such as three helipads, a 168-car garage, a ballroom, 9 high speed elevators, a 50- seat theatre, terrace gardens, swimming pool, spa, health center, a temple and a snow room that splits out snowflakes from the walls. Now, a report on how much a plumber who works for the lavish house earns per month has hot surfaced and left the users internet in awe.

The expensive house is designed to withstand a magnitude 8 earthquake and the architectural design of Antilia has been fashioned along the lines of the lotus and the sun. As of a report that came in the 2014, Antilia is considered as the world’s most expensive private residence costing between US $ 1 and 2 billion to build.

In Indian currency the building Antilia is estimated to be 11 thousand crores and comes with 600 household workers which includes private securities, gardeners, plumbers, electricians and other household staffs.

According to a report of Livermirror. com, a plumber who works for the continent’s expensive building is being paid Rs. 2 lakh per month. He who is supposed to do full time job in the lavish house by staying there, gets medical, children and education allowance apart from his monthly salary.

Along with the grand exterior, the interior of Antilia is also quite expensive and has a world ass pipeline and drainage system. It requires the help of plumbers from time to time as the washroom fittings are also requires proper maintenance.

Housewarming of Antilia was conducted in November, 2020 but Ambani, reportedly didn’t move in immediately due to the fear of bad luck. In June 2011, almost 50 renowned pandits were invited to conduct Poojas and Ambani family took up the residence in September, 2011.
