Kerala Police arrested a man who mastu*bated inside bus after seating near a woman who shot video of the whole incident and reported about the same through her Instagram handle. Identified as Savad, the accused tried to run away after the woman called him out. However, few passengers chased him and handed him over to the Police.

In a shocking incident aboard a bus in Kerala, a bearded man identified as Savad Sha from Kozhikode was apprehended by authorities after allegedly engaging in inappropriate behavior. The incident came to light after Nandita Sankara, an actor and model, bravely shared her experience on social media, shedding light on the ordeal she and another female passenger endured during their journey.

Nandita Sankara recounted the incident in a video she posted online, expressing her gratitude towards those who supported her throughout the distressing ordeal. She revealed that she was traveling from Thrissur to Kochi when the accused boarded the bus at Angamaly and took a seat between her and another woman on a designated seat reserved for women and pregnant individuals.

According to Nandita, the accused attempted to strike up a conversation with her, inquiring about her destination and potential traffic congestion en route. However, within moments of their conversation, she felt his arm brushing against her waist. Disturbed by this, she noticed that the man had his other hand discreetly engaged in inappropriate behavior beneath the cover of his bag.

Feeling disgusted and violated, Nandita turned away, hoping to avoid any further interaction. Unfortunately, when she glanced back, she discovered that the accused had exposed himself and was masturbating openly. Shocked and outraged, Nandita promptly recorded a video of the incident, urging the man to cease his actions, while he feigned ignorance. The confrontation escalated when the bus conductor intervened, offering Nandita the option to file a complaint. Opting for justice, she agreed, and the bus was directed towards the nearest police station.

The situation further escalated as the accused engaged in a physical altercation with the bus conductor outside the vehicle. Ultimately, he managed to push the conductor away and attempted to escape. However, several passengers, determined to bring the offender to justice, chased him down and successfully apprehended him before handing him over to the police.

Nandita Sankara expressed her appreciation for the conductor, driver, a law student who assisted her in filing the complaint, and the courageous passengers who stood by her during the traumatic incident. In her video, she boldly stated, “I am happy that I reacted. When he opens that zip again, he should remember my face and be scared.”

Following the incident, the Nedumbassery police promptly took action, arresting Savad Sha on Tuesday, May 16. This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of raising awareness about sexual harassment and encouraging individuals to speak out against such heinous acts.
