On Wednesday morning, IMDB released its list of the most popular Indian films of the year so far and Kamal Haasan’s “Vikram” topped the list defeating “KGF”. The list included films that were rated 7 or higher on the International Movie Data Base. These titles generated the most IMDb page views in India within a four-week post release window, based on IMDbPro data.

Vikram of Raaj Kamal International starring Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil topped the list with a rating of 8.8. KGF-2, the second installment of director Prashant Neel’s gangster saga which broke the box office records, grabbed the second spot with 8.5 ratings.

Other films such as The Kashmiri Files, RRR, Hridayam, A Thursday, Jhund, Runway 34, Samrat Prithviraj, Gangubai Kathiawadi followed the top two films in the list respectively.

As soon as the post got surfaced in the mixro blogging social media site, fans divided into two and has been debating over which film among Vikram and KGF is most popular. “The most famous film is #KGF2 not #vikram @IMDb please do some research ” a fan commented and received a reply with highest likes that said “😂😂😂 That’s Collection Not Rating.. in Rating Vikram is Better”
