Venkat Prabhu is one of the leading directors of Kollywood Cinema. His last venture was the sequel of his blockbuster sports-comedy film Chennai 28. The director then made a film titled as “Party” which has an ensemble cast. Unfortunately, the movie’s release in getting delayed due to some unknown reasons.

Now his most anticipated project with Simbu aka STR was dropped unexpectedly. The decision was made by Suresh Kamatchi, the producer of the film. The film which was titled as “Manadu” is said to be a political thriller. In a way of expressing his regret on this matter, Venkat Prabhu posted a tweet in his official twitter account.

His tweet said “It’s very unfortunate that I couldn’t work with my brother #str in #maanaadu Everything is time bounded. Considering the amount of emotional and financial pressure that the producer is going through, I have to respect the decision taken by the producer. Thnks for all the love! 🙏🏽”

The facebook post of Suresh Kamatchi said that due to unreasonable delay, the film is getting dropped. “I couldn’t avoid dropping the movie as it getting delayed for a long time. My love and friendship with Simbu will continue. Thanks to his fans and media friends for supporting me all these days.” said the statement of Suresh Kamatchi.

Simbu also rumoured to be committed in Manirathnam’s Ponniyin Selvan and Gautham Menon’s sequel of Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaya.
