Former South African legend Jonty Rhodes is regarded as one of the best fielders of all time. Recently Rhodes had applied for the post of fielding coach and told that he would be focussing on helping India improve their catching percentages.

Indian all rounder Jadeja, who is known for his excellent fielding, struck 58 off 112 deliveries and shared a crucial 60-run partnership with Ishant Sharma (19) for the eighth wicket, helping India reach 297 all out in the first innings. By the end of the second day’s play, India had taken control of the match as the West Indies trailed by 108 runs with just two wickets remaining in their first innings.

On seeing this performance Jonty Rhodes, who got impressed, in a tweet of him said “Love it when a fielder scores valuable runs #topknock @imjadeja #INDvWI”

To this tweet, one of a Indian cricket fan got offended and replied by comparing the statistics of both the players. In his tweet he said “Mr @JontyRhodes8

Jonty Rhodes was one of the most popular cricketers in the world back in the 1990s. He is best remembered for his sensational run out of Inzamam ul Haq in the 1992 World Cup – his sterling effort earned him the moniker of “Flying Jonty”
