This is not the first time for actor Jayam Ravi is facing the wrath of Superstar Rajinikanth fans. Earlier he got severely criticized by them for mocking their idol’s statement on political entry in his film Comaali. Now he is getting severely trolled for wishing the style icon for his birthday around 9 PM. As we all know Superstar Rajinikanth celebrated his 70th birthday on 12th December.

Jayam Ravi, a Kollywood actor known for films like Thani Oruvan, Engeyum Kaadhal and Peranmai was last seen in comedy entertainer Comaali. The film had Kajal Aggarwal, Samyuktha, KS Ravikumar and Yogi Babu in pivotal characters. Now the actor has signed 3 films with the production house Screen Scene.

In the trailer of Comaali, at the end, the makers decided to take a sly dig at the political entry of Superstar Rajinikanth. To prove that they are living in 2016, Yogi Babu switches on the TV in which we can see Rajinikanth announcing his political arrival. Jayam Ravi who denies to believe it would say that it is 1996. This irked many Rajinikanth fans who considered it as a severe mocking. Many started trending hashtags such as #BoycottComali, #நாளையதமிழகம்ரஜினி etc.

Now actor Jayam Ravi while wishing Rajinikanth didn’t mention “Superstar” in his tweet which made them even more angry. The tweet of Ravi said “Happy Birthday @rajinikanth sir. Wishing you health, happiness and a wonderful year 🙏🏼😊”
