On Monday evening, renowned singer Sid Sriram came up with a tweet in his official twitter handle, responding to the trolls that were made against him based on the way he sings at his concerts. The singer who is known for lending his voice to some of the chartbuster hits across South Indian films, said that his performance is for those who pay money, stand in rain and come through to share love and made it sure that he is not performing for those who live for the internet.

Tweet of the singer received huge reception from his fans who flooded his comment section with all love and positivity. Many lauded the singer for the way he performed at his recent concert and few even requested him to conduct a concert again.

Sid Sriram performed his best 3 songs each night for his Heart and Soul 2.0 concert at Bukit Jalil’s Axiata Arena, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Being introduced as a playback singer by academy award winning musician A.R Rahman through Kadal movie’s “Adiye” song, Sid Sriram has sung many songs for films across South India. Being an Indian-American Carnatic musician, music producer, playback singer and Songwriter, Sid’s work in Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Telugu industry speaks volumes.

He debuted as a music composer through ace director Mani Ratnam’s production, Vaanam Kottatum, which is directed by Mani’s former assistant. Apart from singing for movies, Sid is busy performing concerts and the recent one he conducted is Heart and Soul 2.0 at Malaysia.

Despite the attendees of the concert heaped all praise on the 32 year old singer for the way he performed each song, users of online platforms who watched clips from the concert criticized him, pointing out his impulsive manner of singing songs.

“In an Era where Sid Sriram is glorified… I just wanna find myself someone who knows the value of Hariharan…” a social media user wrote through his tweet whereas another user uploaded the video from the concert and said “This is why I don’t like to go for his concert 🫣🫣🫣😂😂😂😂😂”

Responding to such comments, the singer himself came up with a tweet writing “Let me also just say, my team and I perform for the fans, y’all are like family. We do this for the people who pay money, sit in traffic, stand in the rain, and come thru to share in love. We def don’t do it for ppl who live for the internet”
