Indian Railways is receiving backlash from the users of internet platforms after a passenger named Bhumika raised complain against the quality of food they are providing. She questioned whether the officials would provide such food to their family members and children and also compared the food items to the kind of food that will be provided to prisoners. The tweet went viral among the users of the micro blogging social media site with many criticizing Indian Railways for not being cautious regarding the matter even after so many complaints.

In her tweet, Bhumika attached the picture of the food items which were provided to her to criticize the Indian Railways department. She began her tweet questioning whether the officials who are responsible tasted their own food and went on to ask whether they would give such a bad quality food to their family members and children.

Referring to the taste of the food to the kind of foods prisoners eat, Bhumika expressed her dejection through her tweet and replies to her followers. She also questioned about the ticket prices increasing day by day but the quality of food being the same, irrespective of so many complaints.

“This post is not targeting any IRCTC train staff. It’s not the food staff fault. They are just doing their job by delivering us IRCTC food. The food staff members came to refund our money and it wasn’t their fault” she further added.

“Ma’am, thanks for sparing valuable time and bringing it the issue to our notice. Concerned officials has directed to take corrective measures” official Twitter handle of Railway Seva replied to Bhumika.

“For 80rs you cant complain” a twitter user countered Bhumika to which she replied “We can. It’s our rights. Ordered 2 items worth 90/- and 120/- and it was worst”

“Where is all the customer money going when still there are dirty washroom and such low quality food. How can you even call this food. You should actually observe the reaction of every passenger eating this food. Street dogs eat better food than this” another user commented to which Bhumika replied back “Disappointed and hungry”

When a Twitter user commented “The food is as pathetic as their services, the app is supreme quality bad, the website is a nightmare, charges are massive and the quality is degrading, so bad”, Bhumika’s reply read “So bad that we can’t even smell it”

One more user questioned about half of her plate being empty to which Bhumika said that she had no other choice. Many others users of the online space started complaining about the food items they received from the railways department. Sarcastic tweets from online users that said hygienic food was provided to them by Indian Railways also surfaced in the Twitter platform.
