Famous South Indian hero Vijay Devarakonda, in his recent public appearance, expressed his wish about playing the role of former Indian captain Virat Kohli in his biographical picture. The actor said that Sushanth has played the role of Dhoni which leaves him no other choice other than playing the role of Virat Kohli. The actor’s answer caused various kind of reactions in online platforms.

Making biography movies for sports personalities became a trend in Indian cinema since Indian former cricket team captain Mahendran Singh Dhoni’s biography “MS Dhoni, The Untold Story” became a blockbuster across the nation. With cricket being the most celebrated sports compared to all in India, a film is being made on the successful event of India winning world cup in the year 1983. A documentary sports film based on Sachin Tendulkar was made with the title “Sachin: A Billion Dreams” as well.

Now, the million dollar question among the Indian cricket and cinema fraternity is who is going to play the role of Virat Kohli, the captain aggressive. Being the fastest cricketer to reach 23,000 runs, Kohli holds so many records and has a long way to go in his career as well.

Amidst the release of his recently made film “Liger”, Vijay Devarakonda attended the highly anticipated India vs Pakistan match on Sunday to promote his film. Prior the match, the presenters asked the 33 year old to tell which Indian player he wants to play in the big screen. The Arjun Reddy star expressed his wish about playing the biopic of Virat Kohli.

“Dhoni bhai biopic already done by Sushanth, So I am interested to play the bio pic of Virat Anna” the actor said.
