“I Miss My Girl Friend” – Said Guy Amidst Intense Lockdown !! Reply Of Mumbai Police Won Hearts

On 4th of April, Maharashtra government announced a weekend lockdown and restrictions on the movement of people in view of the alarming rise in the COVID 19 cases. As Maharashtra continues to be the worst hit state in the country, Mumbai too has restricted movement of vehicles and introduced a colour-coded sticker system to allow seamless movement of vehicles in and across the city.

To prevent non-essential movement, the Mumbai Police introduced three colours-based sticker system. The police updated that they will issue these red, green, and yellow stickers to essential vehicles at checkpoints, toll booths, local police stations, etc. free of cost to vehicle owners so as to ensure strict implementation of the system.

“Know Your Stickers! From today, Red, Green and Yellow stickers are to be put on cars of Essential Service Providers to ensure smoother flow of traffic on roads. Refer the image to know what category you belong to.” Mumbai Police tweeted on 18th of April.

Reacting to this new procedure, a twitter user named Ashwin asked the Police what sticker he should use to go out and meet his girl friend. He said that he misses his girl friend by adding a sad emoji. “what sticker should I use in order to go out and meet my girlfriend? I miss her” Ashwin said by tagging the official twitter account of Mumbai Police.

Responding to this tweet of Ashwin, Mumbai Police who said that it doesn’t falls under their essential or emergency categories, said that Distance makes the heart grow fonder and wished a lifetime together for the couple and reminded Ashwin that this is just a phase.

“We understand it’s essential for you sir but unfortunately it doesn’t fall under our essentials or emergency categories! Distance makes the heart grow fonder & currently, you healthier. P.S. We wish you lifetime together. This is just a phase. #StayHomeStaySafe” reply of the Mumbai Police read.

The reply of Mumbai Police received humongous amount of positive response from the followers. “Very thoughtful reply in these trying times. Each person has their own essentials. Please keep us engaged with witty responses and we are forever grateful for your service! You take care of Mumbai like no one else does! All of you stay safe and healthy!” a follower said whereas another one wrote “Beautifully said.. Hope you continue to bring a bit of smiles and cheer in this sad situation… Wish other authorities would learn from you all.. Thank you for your service. Respect”
