On 4th of April, Maharashtra government announced a weekend lockdown and restrictions on the movement of people in view of the alarming rise in the COVID 19 cases. As Maharashtra continues to be the worst hit state in the country, Mumbai too has restricted movement of vehicles and introduced a colour-coded sticker system to allow seamless movement of vehicles in and across the city.

To prevent non-essential movement, the Mumbai Police introduced three colours-based sticker system. The police updated that they will issue these red, green, and yellow stickers to essential vehicles at checkpoints, toll booths, local police stations, etc. free of cost to vehicle owners so as to ensure strict implementation of the system.

“Know Your Stickers! From today, Red, Green and Yellow stickers are to be put on cars of Essential Service Providers to ensure smoother flow of traffic on roads. Refer the image to know what category you belong to.” Mumbai Police tweeted on 18th of April.

He said that he misses his girl friend by adding a sad emoji. “what sticker should I use in order to go out and meet my girlfriend? I miss her” Ashwin said by tagging the official twitter account of Mumbai Police.
