Famous Television actress Devi Priya, in her recent interaction with a youtube channel, revealed that casting couch exists in television and cinema industry. The actress said that there won’t be any compulsion but the opportunities to get projects is less if an actress decides not to “compromise”.

Devi Priya is known for debuting through “Vali” movie of SJ Suryah. In the film, she shared screen space with actor Ajithkumar and played a role of a interview candidate. So far, she has appeared in several serials and advertisements and is a well known face among the the audience of Television medium.

In one of her recent interviews with a YouTube channel, the actress talked about the existence of casting couch in her industry. “To be fair, casting couch exists, I wont say that it didn’t exist at all. The approaches will be decent enough as there won’t be any compulsion. It’s that you won’t get the opportunity. That’s it” the actress said in the interview.

“A well known brand would come with an advertisement offer with the requirement of ” Adjustment “. We would have been dreaming about getting a contract with them and doing advertisements for a year but these kind of demands from them would upset us” She further said in the interview.

“I would deny such offers right away, saying that i don’t belong to that category at all.Thats it. We won’t be getting that opportunity. I lost so many opportunities due to such demands. Not only me, many actresses suffered many losses due to such demands” Devi Priya revealed.

“Be it silver screen or small screen, beyond acting skills, every actress is facing such issues and if they deny to comply, they are getting disappeared, all of the sudden” She added.
