Julie of Bigg Boss one fame won the hearts of online users who are keenly watching the “Ultimate” version of the show by revealing about a fund she raised to save a child named Guhan. A sum of Rs. 33 lakh was needed for the surgery of the kid and she managed to arrange Rs. 23 lakh in one week, according to a recent statement she made inside the Bigg Boss house in front of her co-contestants.

As soon as Julie announced about her entry into the Bigg Boss “Ultimate” version, a number of fans trolled her based on her activities in season one. However, a set of users lauded her confidence level and welcomed her.

Julie became a familiar face among Tamil speaking netizens, not through Bigg Boss show but through the videos of herself which did rounds during the historical protest of Jallikattu. She gained a huge sum of support from the protesters for her participation in the protest. The way she led a crowd through her slogans attracted many people’s attention which resulted in Julie becoming one of the contestants in Tamil reality game show Bigg Boss, hosted by Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan.

Being a nurse by profession, Julie acted in short films and music videos before entering Bigg Boss shows which are available in youtube. After getting participated in the Bigg Boss show, the people’s way of seeing Julie changed completely. Julie became the first victim of Bigg Boss’s “Kurumpadam” which is used by Kamal Haasan to reveal an individual’s original behaviour. She became a subject to severe online troll after her Bigg Boss season one stint.

However, she made her come back after 5 long years in the OTT version of the same show. While viewers are looking for ways to maker er a troll material again, she won the hearts of viewers and co-contestants by revealing about an incident where she acted as a tool to save a kid’s life.

“After I completed Bigg Boss, I faced severe backlash. At that time, an organisation approached me and sought help to do liver surgery for a one and half year old child. His name is Gahan. Despite having this much of negative fame, we managed to collect a sum of Rs. 23 lakh in just one week” Julie said.

“It was a huge amount. No matter whether you are abusing or not, if one person decides to give Rs. 1 rupee for his part, the child could be saved. Many abused me as well. But I want to thank everyone who helped him at that time. With the 23 lakh we arranged, the liver surgery got completed successfully and today he is very much happy. He would call me as “Amma” whenever he sees me” Julie got emotional.

Many, including her housemates admired Julie who saved a kid’s life by using her fame. “I’ve hated you during s1 as well, but in course time I’ve realized whatever u did wasn’t that much of a big deal” a twitter user said.
