Hyderabad: In the early hours of Monday, an incident occurred in Hyderabad involving a high-end car driven by Vegunta Divya, a 25-year-old advocate residing in Madhapur. Divya was traveling from Raidurgam and had crossed Mahaprasthanam when the unfortunate event took place at Filmnagar. While heading towards the Durgam Cheruvu cable bridge, she lost control of the vehicle while navigating a curve, resulting in the car ramming into a tree and a divider before coming to a sudden halt after hitting a roadside pole.

Passersby noticed the accident and promptly alerted the police, who rushed to the scene. They found Divya out of the vehicle, who apparently left the car behind after the crash. She had sustained injuries on one of her ankles and was immediately taken to a hospital for medical attention.

The Filmnagar station house officer, M.G.S. Ramakrishna, supervised the police response. They acted promptly to move the damaged car to the police station and began investigating the incident. During their examination, they traced the vehicle’s ownership, which turned out to be registered in the name of Divya’s father, V. Prakash.

Preliminary investigations suggested that the cause of the accident was likely due to over speeding.
