Honey Trap, Gurugram’s Sector-29, the police have successfully arrested a young woman and her accomplice who were involved in an elaborate honeytrap scheme. The unsuspecting victim, a resident of Sector-48, had befriended the 20-year-old girl through Facebook. However, what seemed like a friendly connection quickly turned into a nightmare when false allegations of rape and threats were filed against him. The victim, determined to seek justice, notified the police, leading to a courageous operation that culminated in the arrest of the perpetrators.

According to the police report, the victim and the young woman met in a guest house, where they engaged in consensual physical relations. However, on June 19, the girl filed a complaint with the Sector-29 police station, accusing the victim of rape and threatening her life. Disturbed by the false accusations, the victim found himself entangled in a dangerous situation when the girl demanded a settlement of Rs 10 lakh (1 million rupees) to withdraw the case.

The victim, refusing to succumb to blackmail, decided to seek legal assistance and promptly informed the police about the ongoing extortion attempts. In coordination with the victim, the police orchestrated a plan to catch the culprits red-handed, ensuring the safety of the victim and resolving the ordeal.
On June 24, the victim arranged to meet the girl in the parking lot near the Kingdom of Dreams to hand over the negotiated settlement amount. Unbeknownst to the girl, the police were closely monitoring the situation and quickly sprung into action as soon as they received the signal. Upon their arrival, the police observed the girl counting money inside the car, alongside her accomplice.
The authorities wasted no time in apprehending the perpetrators, effectively thwarting their attempts to extort Rs 6 lakh (600,000 rupees) from the victim. The successful operation serves as a testament to the proactive measures taken by the police to protect innocent citizens from falling victim to honeytrap schemes and blackmail.
