“Sellur” Raju of AIADMK, in a press meet, trolled DMK’s Senthil Balaji for the recent statement he made on squirrels causing power cut in state Tamil nadu. In a recent interaction, Speaking on frequent power cuts in Tamil Nadu with media, the DMK minister said that when tree branches come in contact with power lines, squirrels running on them lead to two wires coming into contact, thus causing power outages. Later, at the assembly, the minister said that the previous AIADMK government had not carried out maintenance work for Electricity Board. He added that there would be no power cuts after the maintenance works were carried out.

However, the statements made by him caused hashtags in Twitter based on “Squirrels” to troll him. Now, Sellur Raju who rose to fame among public for his “Thermocol” stunt conducted a press meet saying that he got escaped from online trolls due to the statements made by Senthil Balaji. He gained widespread fame after trying to use thermocol to reduce water evaporation from the Vaigai Dam in the year 2017. He invited media to witness his technique and became a troll material in social media. Since then, the minister for Co-operation is being fondly called as “Scientist” Sellur Raju by netizens.

“First of all, I got escaped. Media, Internet, even some ministers made fun of me saying that I am a new age scientist. Now, our Minister for Electricity, Prohibition & Excise has made his arrival with his new discovery to save me. There is a famous song of our leader which would start like “Nalla Velai Naan Pizhaithu konden” (My good time, I got saved). Like that song, Senthil Balaji has found a squirrel” said Sellur Raju in the press meet.

“He is the real scientist. In our 10 years of ruling, squirrels went abroad it seems. Now, after they came to power, squirrels made their come back and travelling in electric wire. I recommend Oscar award for him.” said Sellur Raju and later changed it to Nobel prize. Watch the video below :

Replying to him press meet, Senthil Balaji came up with a tweet attaching the proofs to prove how ADM government pointed squirrel as a reason in 2020 for the power outage in Aalankulam. “It is the clarification ADMK government provided in 2020 to Madurai High Court. I request Sellur Raju who looks like an educated individual to know about it by asking about it to Former minister P Thangamani or High court.
