Actor Jayam Ravi who is currently busy promoting his upcoming magnum opus “Ponniyin Selvan” of Manirathnam, in an event that was arranged for him with his fans by a youtube channel, said that actor Vijay looks younger than him and is acting as an inspiration for him for a long time. The actor said that he won’t keep his references in his films but will always be proud to admit that he is a fan of “Thalapathy” Vijay. Ravi also tried mimicking Thalapathy’s voice in the event with crowd cheering for him.

Thalapathy Vijay enjoys a huge fan base across the globe and is known as one of the influential personality from the cinema industry. The way he performs in the screen inspires millions of youngsters and many of them, including kids could be seen imitating his style, looks etc.

Known for predominantly appearing in Tamil films, Vijay was last seen in “Beast” directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. The actor who debuted 27 years ago in the Tamil film industry, influenced enormous number of youths, kids and even his fellow actors through his onscreen presence. Several fan clubs are being operated across the state only to celebrate him.

Now, in a recent event, actor Jayam Ravi who is known for providing blockbuster films such as “Thani Oruvan”, “Peranmai”, “Santhosh Subramaniam” etc, admitted that he is an ardent fan of actor Vijay after seeing a group picture of himself with the actor. Ravi said that the “Varisu” actor looks younger than him out of admiration towards his looks.

The group picture showed Vijay sitting with Mohan raja, Jayam ravi, and Vijay Antony. “In this picture, he looks younger than me. Even after all these years, he looks supremely young” Ravi said in the event. “He is a big inspiration for an artist. I won’t use his references in my films but would openly admit here that I am his fan” the actor said.

“Only after seeing him, I came to know how a hero should be. He is the one who brought it first. He is like a brother to me” Jayam Ravi said. While being asked to share about what is the most important thing Vijay spoke to him, Ravi said that Vijay is known for being a man of few words” Jayam ravi said.

“He appreciated me for my works and once asked me to make my brother (Director Mohan Raja) not to take huge gap between two films. I told him that my brother is putting an effort of 10 films for his one film and it will be better for him to take one year rest to refresh himself” said Jayam Ravi by trying to imitate the voice of Vijay. “I am also doing something, I said to him and he replied “yes I am following, you are doing well” he added.
