A strange event unfolded in Sultanganj village in Bhagalpur, Bihar, as a groom failed to show up for his own wedding. The reason behind this was the fact that the groom had gotten drunk the night before and completely forgotten about his wedding the next day. As a result, the bride and her family waited for the groom to arrive, but he never did.

The next day, when the groom finally regained consciousness and reached the bride’s house, she refused to marry him. She stated that she couldn’t spend her life with someone who wasn’t responsible enough to remember his own wedding. In addition, the bride’s family demanded that the groom’s family return the money they had spent on the wedding arrangements. The bride’s relatives even held some of the groom’s relatives hostage.
