Gayathri Raguramm is an Indian choreographer and actress who has worked in the South Indian film industry. The daughter of prominent choreographer Raghuram, Gayathri began her career as an actress in the 2002 film Charlie Chaplin and after a career break, she began working as a choreographer in films during 2008.

In November 2015, Gayathri was appointed as Bharathiya Janata Party’s secretary for arts in Tamil Nadu. She had earlier joined the party in 2014 in the presence of BJP president Amit Shah. In 2017, Gayathri was a contestant on the Tamil reality show Bigg Boss hosted by Kamal Haasan. She was evicted from the show on day 56.

Today she posted a series of tweets which supported her party’s movement of adding Chowkidar (Watchman) in their twitter handle names. Check out her tweets here :

To her tweets one of a follower of her trolled her in a most hilarious way. In his reply he wrote “No1 is respecting u within BJP ? Y are u still supporting them? Be at some place where they know ur value.”

Gayathri Raguramm made a in Tamil industry return as an actress in Vai Raja Vai at the insistence of her friend Aishwarya Dhanush by portraying the sister of the film’s lead character Gautham Karthik. Likewise, she made an extended guest appearance in director Bala’s village drama Tharai Thappattai (2016), where she also featured in a karakattam-based song. After announcing her intentions of directing a film in 2012, she began work on her first directorial venture Yaadhumagi Nindraai during 2016.
