Celebrity couple Manjima Mohan & Gautam Karthick, recently met the press reporters and officially announced about their wedding which is going to take place on 28th of November. After announcing about the good news, the couple answered to some of the questions of the reporters. Gautam and Manjima even answered to a reporter who asked about the former’s caste and how his family accepted.

Months ago, Manjima Mohan of “Achcham Enbathu Madamayada” fame opened on the reports that were doing rounds about herself marrying her “Devarattam” co-star Gautham Karthik. The actress said that she will come forward and make it public if anything important happens in her life and hinted on something “brewing”.

“Actors almost have no private life as anything they do privately will come out to public at any point. For me, there are certain things that I would like to keep it to myself. I don’t like to talk about what’s happening in my life and about what my relationship status is” said Manjima in an interview and went on to add “In a relationship, two people are involved and two families are also involved. If I make comments on how I feel or what I feel, it might affect the other person”

Manjima also said “If he agrees, I will agree because it’s about two people. I can talk about myself. As far as the current situation is concerned, I don’t have any thought about starting a family right now”

“This is a big thing. We are getting married to let everyone know that we are getting married and we are starting a family. It’s not about doing something secretly. So if there’s something is planned and if something is fixed, I will tell people myself. There’s nothing to hide” the actress further said. “If something major happening in my life, I will speak about it at that point” she added.

“What I like in Gautham Karthik is his honesty. Though he comes from such an influential family he doesn’t know much about cinema” the actress said and explained that she like Gauthan Karthick for having very normal conversations with her instead of discussing about people in cinema.

Now, after announcing about their marriage officially, one of the reporters asked who proposed first and Gautham said “It is me who proposed her first. She took two days of time and I was feeling a bit nervous at that time”

The couple went on to answer few other questions and happened to face a question on Gautham’s. “Your father is running a party called All India Forward Bloc. You belong to Devar caste and she is from Kerala. How your parents accepted your marriage??” asked the reporter and Gautham immediately replied saying “There’s no link between my marriage and my caste” with Manjima laughing before saying “Sirr. . Please” in a lighter tone.

The couple said that the event is going to be a simple, small and private one with no reception. They sought blessings of press reporters and public for their marriage through the press meet. On the work front, Gautham Karthik’s “1947” is gearing up for release and the shooting of “Pathu Thala” is yet to get completed. Manjima said that she currently on a break and assured that she will continue acting after marriage.
