For Mocking Vijay’s Contribution To Corona Crisis, Producer Slammed Gurumurthy !!

An alleged screenshot of Swaminathan Gurumurthy, a RSS ideologue mocking actor Vijay while answering about his financial contribution to Corona crisis is doing rounds in micro blogging social media site. Actor Vijay announced about his contribution after nearly 1 month since the first lockdown announcement unlike other actors who made their contributions way earlier. While answering to a question regarding the delay made by the “Mersal” actor, Gurumurthy allegedly said that he took time to collect money from here and there after what IT department did to him. This statement from Thuglak magazine editor irked the fans of the actor.



Actor Vijay, as expected, provided a huge sum of amount to governments of South Indian states and to FEFSI union. During the delay, Many users of social media believed that the bank accounts of actor Vijay got restricted and not allowed to make any transactions due to the IT raid which took place at his home lately. However, he provided a whopping amount of Rs.1.30 crores for the relief of Coronavirus. He divided the amount to help the entire South India to combat the virus. He gave Rs. 50 Lakhs to CM relief Fund and 25 Lakhs to PM relief fund.

To The Film Employees Federation of South India, the actor gave Rs. 25 lakhs and Rs.10 lakhs to Kerala CM fund relief. To Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra and Pondicherry, the actor donated Rs.5 lakhs each. However, the delay made by the actor kept few people speculating.

Now, the screenshot which surfaced in the Internet shows, Gurumurthy being questioned to answer regarding the delay actor Vijay made to contribute to the virus. While answering to this, the RSS ideologue, reportedly answered by saying “After IT department took all his money through the raid, it is obvious for him to take that much time to collect the scattered money from here and there”

This angered many fans of actor Vijay and producer Suresh Kamatchi who is currently producing Simbu’s Maanadu came forward as the first cinema related person to raise voice against Gurumurthy. The producer, through his tweet said, “Gurumurthy who earned money with the support of politicians, didn’t make any kind of donation for the relief of Corona yet but trolling Thalapathy Vijay who made his contribution in his critical situation. I condemn this inappropriate activity of Gurumurthy strongly”
