Kishore K Swamy, a self styled political commentator, has made a controversial remark on the student who ended her life due to the fear of facing NEET exam which is going to take place on 13th of September which is tomorrow. On seeing her death note, in which she conveyed her final message to her loved ones, Kishore said that she couldn’t write a single sentence without grammar mistake and blamed her for seeking medical seat.

Named as Jyoti S Durga, the 19 year old girl ended her life by hanging in her home in Madurai in the early hours of Saturday. The medical aspirant was attending coaching classes to prepare for her NEET exam for the second attempt. She had written the NEET exam last year but only managed to score 100 odd marks.

The girl ended her life after writing a suicide note. She mentioned that she would disappoint her family members and others if she did not get a medical seat, in her 6 page long suicide note. Apart from the suicide note, she also left behind a video recording in her phone.

In the letter she wrote that it is not the fault of her friends and relatives. “Don’t blame yourself and anyone I love you all.” she said and mentioned all of many of her friends and relatives. She expressed her love towards her friend Ammu, Shanthini and her Chithi (Aunt) Selvi, Uncle, Ammukutti, Grandfather and Grandmother through her final letter.

“You people had so many expectations on me. I am sorry. If I can’t get the medical seat in college, all your hard work will go in vain. I am sorry and I am tired” her letter read.

While many people in social media platforms including Chief minister Edappadi K Pazhaniswamy, actor cum politician Kamal Haasan are mourning for the demise of the teen, Kishore K Swamy came up with a tweet criticizing the letter written by Jyoti.

He posted a tweet saying that people who couldn’t fluently write a letter in English or Tamil wants to become doctor. “Then who will be the patient ? If everyone boards a palanquin, who is going to carry it ?? It is not the NEET that depresses students but their parents.” His Tamil tweet said.

“A suicide note purportedly written by a high school graduate , filled with tanglish , not one sentence proper , grammar gone for a toss , yet we blame NEET . Emotional jargon apart , what is the state of our school education ?” his another tweet read.

These tweets of him are being severely condemned by the users of micro blogging social media site. One of a twitter user questioned whether he would show his poetic skills while writing his death note whereas another said that a man became Prime minister of our country without knowing English language.
