The actor further compared the ruling government with Drona of Mahabharata who asked for Ekalavya’s right thumb, knowing that the loss will hamper Ekalavya’s ability to pursue archery. “Modern age Dronas are demanding our children to prove them by writing examinations at 6th grade. Even if our children succeed in those challenges, they are waiting with dangerous weapons such as “NEET” to kill them” the actor expressed his emotion.
“We should not stand and watch the demise of innocent students. We should act as a society that stands against NEET which is destroying the dreams of children from ordinary families” the actor registered his stand firmly.
This statement from Suriya, garnered, hugely a positive response from public. As expected it didn’t go well with the supporters of the Modi government. Actress, Choreographer and former Bigg Boss contestant Gayathri Raguramm posted a tweet saying that fans are dying while celebrating the first day first show of top-tier actos and questioned whether the films should also be banned.

She further said that there is no logic in banning movies for such reason and compared it with the statement of Suriya. The BJP member asked him to encourage students to face the exam instead of seeking ban on the examination. “fans have died falling banners to celebrate actors FDFS n fans have lost their lives just by spending money on fan clubs. Can we ban movies? No logic right? Pls encourage students to study n face the exam boldly. Doctors – Everyday is like exam when they attend their patients.” her statement read.

When there is exam for every different courses like #NEET #JEE 12TH, 11TH, 10TH and many entrance exams ….Why the government should make an entrance exams for different posts like MLA, MP, PM..Before they are participating in Elections…@gayathriraguram Is this logic
