Fans Damaged The Screen Of Rohini Theatre After Watching “Thiruchitrambalam” !! Owner Reacted

Unidentified fans who watched “Thiruchitrambalam” on the second show of first day of its release, damaged the screen of Chennai city’s one of the famous theatres Rohini Silver Screens. A picture that shows the screen being torn and hanging is doing rounds in social media platforms with many expressing their condemnations over the fans who committed the heinous act. Nikilesh Surya, one of the owners of the theatre, has been sharing tweets that slams the fans who damaged the screen of his theatre premises.
“Thiruchitrambalam” starring Dhanush, Nithya Menon, Raashi Khanna and Priya Bhavani Shankar released in theatres on Thursday with much expectations. Mithran Jawahar who worked with Dhanush in “Yaaradi Nee Mohini” directed the film with Anirudh composing music for it. A film of actor Dhanush is hitting the screens after two long years as all the films such as “Jagame Thanthiram”, “The Gray Man”, “Atrangi Re” were released as direct OTT films.

Last time fans watched Dhanush in the big screens was through “Asuran” of Vettri Maaran. Dhanush and Anirudh visited the Rohini Silverscreen that is located in Koyambedu of Chennai to witness the response of fans. Video of the duo waving at the fans surfaced in the internet as well.
In the meantime, some of the unidentified fans who watched the second show of Thursday, damaged the screen of the most loved theatre premises. Sharing the picture, Cinema journalist Gopinath Rajendran came up with a tweet in his twitter timeline, saying “If your idea of having fun at the theatre involves ripping off the screen and making it a miserable experience for others, how about you stay home, wait for it to come on OTT and then break your TV screen? This was at @RohiniSilverScr after the second show of #Thiruchitrambalam”

A twitter user named Karthik Ravivarma, shared the pictures ad asked “How could the fan who comes to watch the film next show will be able to watch it peacefully ? These guys will come drunk and damage the screen, would damage seats with blade and would also blame the theatre owners of poor maintenance” he said.

“Theater screens are so expensive and its a tedious process to replace them. But even otherwise, what a shame it is to see fans celebrate in such mindless manners by completely disrespecting the presence of 100s of other people who have paid money and spent their time to be there” another twitter user said.

Nikilesh Surya who manages the Rohini theatre shared the above tweets to express his frustration over fans behaving in such a way.
Ruban Matuvanan, owner of Porur GK Cinemas came up witha tweet conemning the fans for involving in such a toxic act. “This is cheap and third rate act! Leave the money , Do you even know how much is the wait time for a new screen?” read his tweet.
