Legendary actor Dilip kumar died in the morning of Wednesday after prolonged illness and the entire film fraternity came up with tweets offering their condolences to the family members of him. They also lauded the ace actor’s works in the film industry and expressed their admirations towards him. Pan Indian actor Siddharth also uploaded a picture of Dilip Kumar and penned a heartfelt note to pay his last respects to the seasoned actor. On seeing the picture he uploaded, a Tamil nadu based follower of him said that “Dilip Kumar” looks like “Akshay Kumar” and the comment seemingly pissed Siddharth off like anything. The actor’s instant reply garnered the attention of fans with various kind of reactions.

Dilip Kumar who was 98 years old while dying, known to generations of film-goers as ‘tragedy king’. He was admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) of the Hinduja Hospital, a non-COVID-19 facility, since Tuesday. “He passed away due to prolonged illness at 7.30 am,” Dr Jalil Parkar, who had been treating the actor, said according to reports.

Dilip Kumar’s family friend Faisal Farooqui took to the official twitter handle of the actor and announced about the demise by writing “With a heavy heart and profound grief, I announce the passing away of our beloved Dilip Saab, few minutes ago. We are from God and to Him we return. – Faisal Farooqui”

From Prime minister Narendra Modi to Bollywood Superstar Amitabh, many influential personalities from across the country uploaded tweets remembering Dilip Kumar on this day of his demise and offered condolences to his friends, fans and family members. “One of the greatest actors the world has ever known has left us. A giant tree has fallen. I pray for the soul of legend #DilipKumar sahab. I also pray today’s generation learns about and celebrates him. He is forever.” said Tamil actor Siddharth in his tweet and uploaded the picture of the legend.

On seeing the picture he uploaded, a follower named Jaga casually dropped a comment saying that he looks like Bollywood actor “Akshay Kumar”. “Akshay Kumar mathiri erukaru” his comment read to which Siddharth immediately replied typing “Dei. Saavadchiduven. Odidu.” which literally means “Man, I will kill you, Run away”
