After the release of “Master” team’s press statement, theatre owners and fans of Kollywood cinema became extremely happy along with the fans of actor Vijay. The makers of “Master” made it sure that they are intending to release the film in theatres despite of the offer provided by a reputed OTT platform. They requested the theatre owners to support them in the matter to keep Tamil cinema alive.

“Though we have an offer from a reputed OTT service provider, we prefer the theatrical release, which is the need of the hour for the industry to survive the ongoing crisis. We also request the theatre owners to stand with us, and provide their support for reviving the film industry,” read the press statement they released.

This press statement made many fans of Tamil cinema happy. Several theatre owners also expressed their happiness over the decision of the makers. Official twitter account of Ram Muthuram cinemas, a popular theatre that is located in Thirunelveli, uploaded the picture of the press release and wrote “Haters are gonna hate but ignore calmly !!! On seeing this tweet, a fan named as Karthi, discouraged the theatre owner by saying that the theatre won’t get full occupancy due to COVID 19. He said that the film won’t receive huge collections by writing “Dei eppo potalum theatre will be 50% only collection la varathu”

Replying to this tweet of Karthi, Ram cinemas said that they will release the film in both their screens with full shows to increase the occupancy practically. They also believed that all theatres will do the same to increase the occupancy. “He (vijay) knows very well about this and wants to help theatre owners who helped him during his hard times” Ram cinemas said.
