A 21 year old Delhi based youtuber named Namra Quadir got arrested by Police officials for allegedly cheating Rs. 80 lakh from a businessman. Quadir who is enjoying 6 lakh plus followers for her YouTube space, honey trapped the private firm’s owner and also threatened to implicate him on a rape case on Tuesday, according to Police reports. The accused also enjoys 2 lakh plus followers for her Instagram handle.

Police, further added that Namra’s husband Manish has been added as a co-accused in the case and actions to nab him has been initiated. “Quadir had confessed to the crime and we have taken her on Police remand to recover the money and other items that were taken by her from the victim under alleged pressure. Her husband will be arrested soon” said Inspector Rajesh Kumar, Section 50 Station house officer.

Victim Dinesh Yadav who is running an advertising firm, in his complaint said that he met Quadir some time ago and Manish was with her at that time. Dinesh said that Quadir demanded Rs. 2 lakh from him to promote his business through her YouTube platform and he paid the amount.

According to his complaint, Quadir, after few days, expressed her love towards him and wanted to marry him. They became good friends, said the complainant.

“In August month, I along with Quadir and Manish went to a club to party. We booked a room there late at night. The next morning, when I woke up, Quadir asked me to hand over my bank cards and smart watch. She threatened to implicate me in a rape case” The victim said, through his complaint. Reports suggests that the husband and wife duo made the victim consume alcohol on the night of their stay.

“After this, they extorted more than Rs. 80 lakh and other gift items from me”. he further added. Dinesh also sent Rs. 5 lakh from his father’s account when he ran out of money. “Later, I revealed everything to my father and he took me to the police” the 21 year old victim said.
