Veteran Indian Wicket Keeper shared the Whatsapp screenshots of the messages he received from a journalist who threatened him to have an interview with him after he got dropped from Indian team in the test series against Sri lanka. Selectors of Indian cricket team picked Rishabh Pant as the primary wicket keeper and KS Bharath as a back up. Chetan Sharma, chairman of selector didn’t reveal the exact reason on dropping the cricketer who scored 61 in his last test appearance against New Zealand.

The screenshot Saha shared, shows disturbing and rude messages from a journalist forcing him to give an interview. “After all of my contributions to Indian cricket..this is what I face from a so called “Respected” journalist! This is where the journalism has gone” Saha said after sharing the screenshot.

This post from Saha created huge outrage among the fans and Saha’s fellow cricketers including star Indian opener Sehwag, World cup winning Gambhir, former coach Ravi Shashtri and others. Many called out the journalist who threatened Saha and asked BCCI to intervene.

“It is disappointing to see all this being discussed on a public platform. I’m sure there are better ways to ask for an interview! I hope better sense prevails in future” another former opener Gautham Gambhir said in his tweet to condemn the journalist.

Former Indian coach Ravi Shashtri said “Shocking a player being threatened by a journo. Blatant position abuse. Something that’s happening too frequently with #TeamIndia.
